My team and I, has been very busy over the past two week. Last week we were on property ministry at Zion's Gate, working on projects that needed to be completed.
Tony purchased the Zion's Gate property just a year ago and it needs lots of "TLC", we worked really hard to accomplish such a great rock pebble path and pretty little rock gardens. Talk about ROCKY week, nothing but rocks.
We transformed a single walking path into a beautiful path that brought so much happiness to Tony and Nidia, once they saw it, the joy and excitement was worth all of the blisters, bruises, cuts and sore (never used before) muscles.
RELAXATION on one of the boulders we dug out of the ground to make the border of the walking path, with Cosmo the property dog that I love.
I can do all things through him who strengthens me. ~Philippians 4:13
This week we went to Los Pinos, a little community on the outskirts of Tegucigalpa. I have never seen anything as sad as Los Pinos, Poverty is such a sad thing, Los Pinos, I can not even explain the darkness of the poverty. This saddens me, I find it is really hard for me to wrap my head around why…why would God allow this…why would God let people suffer and to this extreme…
WHY
the next day I sat in my hammock all day reflecting on the previous days trip to Los Pinos, yes I jumped across a little river and stepped on a ROCK and twisted my ankle so bad that I could not walk, so I did not go back to Los Pinos the next day with my team, this gave me a whole day to reflect on what I had saw and my feelings. I read my bible and this is what God said to me.
THIS IS WHY
If there is a poor man among your brother in any of the towns of the land that the LORD your God is giving you, do not he hardhearted or tightfisted toward your poor brother. Rather be openhanded and freely lend him whatever he needs. ~Deuteronomy 15:7-8
I see and I understand now..
Tony goes to Los Pinos as often as he can weekly and ministers to the kids that are high on paint thinner and just anyone who will listen, he is spreading the word of God, he is helping one person at a time….He has taken in 12 boys and 1 girl from Los Pinos, he has taken them from extreme poverty and given them a better life.
IT TAKES ONE ACT OF KINDNESS,
TO MAKE A CHANGE!
lend him whatever he needs, He needs God! They, the people of Los Pinos need God, that is why Tony ministers to them.
God is powerful! I see so many things that God is doing around me and through me, I am so blessed!
So here I am all bandaged up. My ankle still hurts and my knee didn't like the ROCKS. Those ROCKS can't keep me down.
I almost forgot a bit of amazing Honduran EXCELLENCE.
Sunday the 30th was NATIONAL BIBLE DAY in Honduras, how amazing is that. We were in the parade, they went all out on the celebrations. I loved it! After, we attended a church service that was just the best. God is doing amazing things.
I miss you all, sending you LOVE from Honduras!

It sounds like it was one of those weeks when the high is wearing off a bit and reality is setting in; inevitable and necessary. Praying for you as the realities of a lost world start penetrating deeply into your soul. When our heart breaks for the things that breaks God’s the forever change takes place. You know the kind of change that isn’t easily erased when you return. I’m excited to hear about the story you shared. Funny how God has to slow us down any way he can so he can speak to us what we need to hear. Hope your ankle is healing well.
It looks like you guys are doing work in every way possiable physically and mentally….which is awsome!! Sorry about your scratches i hope you feel better so you can keep up the work!! Be Safe!! Allways remember you have people that love and care about you!
